I have a question. Is the Big Dog owners manual that Big Dog sells for $20.00 worth the money? Some say it doesn't tell you much. Before I fork over the money I would like some ones elses opinion.

I thought u could download that for free on the BDM website.

Put yer 20 towards a service manual. I don't even look at the owners manual.

Is this the owners manual they give when you purchase the scoot? I would not give 20 for that.

I think what you are looking for is the Service Manual which retails much higher.

Yes, I was looking at the manual that came with the Big Dog when bought new. I bought mine used and it didn't come with anything. I could not find any where where one could down load it for free. And yes the service manual is MUCH more money.

it USED to be free on BDM website. thats no longer the case.... not worth the 20 if u ask me. if there is something you need to know message me... DO look into a servie manual though... pricless info.that along with all info on here should be all u need,...

I just want some thing that will show you the basics. Like how much oil it holds ... where the level should be...specs on what type of oil to use. Basic things like that. I really don't plan on doing any major work on it. I don't have the tools or the knowledge.

Don't spend money on the "Owners manual" free download lots of places. Save your dimes for a Service Manual...

The ONLY reason I can see for forking over those 20 simoleans is if you're the type that keeps every original part, label, tag, receipt, sales slip, and what-not that came with it (and for stuff bought afterwards for it too) in a trunk somewhere, in case somebody is more interested later on by having that whole shootin' match available on resale. It can sometimes make the package worth more to a collector especially if the scoot makes it to classic or antique age.

I've been like that with a huge total of two (out of many) bikes I've owned. My 2000 Vintage Sport was the first bike that I was ever able to afford to buy brand new... I got like every option BD had to offer at the time for it too, all packed away nicely and checked on from time to time.

It might be something to consider if you're going that route.

Have no fear ladies and gents, I also rode (and still do ride) it like a cheap... oh never mind.
Peace, Respect,
OHM
