BIG DOG MOTORCYCLES ADDS A NEW DROP SEAT-- The 2008 Pitbull’s Award-Winning Design Is Dramatically Enhanced With The New Offerings.

WICHITA, Kansas (July 1, 2008) – Big Dog Motorcycles®, the leading manufacturer of premium, high style, high performance motorcycles, has expanded its line of proprietary accessories with a new Drop Solo Seat and Drag Bars for its 2008 Pitbull™.

The new Drop Solo Seat lowers the seat height of the motorcycle 2½” to just 23”, while the Drag Bars extend the rider’s reach a substantial 4½”. The result is a fresh, new riding position and curbside appeal on an already award-winning motorcycle.

Robb Report magazine named the 2008 Pitbull the “Best of the Best” motorcycle cruiser in June, four months after Paisano Publications called it the V-Twin Bike of the Year. Paisano Publications is known worldwide as a diversified media company offering a wide variety of motorcycle magazines, including Easyriders and V-Twin.

“You already have a winning motorcycle with the 2008 Pitbull,” commented Paul Hansen, Marketing Director, Big Dog Motorcycles. “But with these new accessories, you can make the look more radical, the riding position more aggressive, and the feel of the motorcycle completely different.”

Available now and installed quickly at any authorized Big Dog Motorcycles dealer, the new proprietary accessories are factory-engineered, ensuring compatibility in function, fit, and finish, and strict adherence to company design standards.

The Drop Solo Seat (MSRP $275) is entirely hand-made using premium foam, fine grain leather, and other high quality materials to ensure outstanding comfort and value. The chrome Drag Bars (MSRP $699.95) are 1¼” in diameter, rubber-mounted, and are set so the rider has a noticeable, drag-style, forward body lean.

No kidding about the look of the seat. It definately adds to the aesthetics of it but I bet that one would pound your hemmoroids in pretty good.. LOL!!

I test rode a Pitbull a couple of weeks ago, and the spring seat does make the ride different. At times though it will still rattle your teeth on rough pavement.

Shit! that damn sprung seat was one of the main factors I went with an '07. Hell, I guess I will have to trade up.

Has anyone had their drop seat redone with softer foam? I like the seat, but it is really hard. I was considering having someone re do it with a top layer of softer foam but keeping the original shape and leather cover.

For some reason I just think the Ape Hangers, like EZ and others have went to look more appropriate on the Pitt.
