Quick question , I have a mastiff 2006. Its runs great, but when I stop at a light, it is to damn hard to engage into neutral. I have to downshift before I get to the light in neutral. I hate having my hand on the clutch at the light. Shit it hurts. Lol.. I have plenty of primary fluid that was changed recently. An dclutch adjusted. What can be the problem. Does it have to go into the dealer. Thanks for any input. Henry.

Keep your bike in gear at stoplights, and give yourself enough room from the vehicle in front to allow yourself an escape route in case somebody decides to rear-end you while eating, lighting a smoke, messing with their I-pod, and checking their make-up simultaneously. Really. Check the pic attached from the new post "K9 Down". That could be you if you fail to plan for other's stupidity.

Typical! Just always hit neutral when rolling up to the stop or just give the throttle a rap and while doing so kick it into neutral. No need to take it to the stealership..........

also, you can find a "How To" thread on here that is great telling you step by step how to adjust your clutch. one of the easiest things to do on the bike.

I had that same problem on my 2006 mastiff and never got it adjusted so that I could find neutral easy, so I bought an automatic clutch (EFM) its the best thing since sliced bread.

With my stock clutch and now with the bandit clutch I still can't get neutral from first. I have to get there from second.

That auto clutch sure looks to be nice, but I'm here to tell you it screwed me up riding wit you in mobile. After a few beers it messes with your mind riding with out clutching.

Just hit neutral while downshifting to the stoplight.

If your clutch is adjusted correctly then you might need to adjust the "Eccentric Adjuster"...it's located on the primary side to the right of your shift arm. It adjusts the shift paw. You will want to do it in 3rd gear and easiest with top cover off.

huh, i'm just the oposite. have to take it down to 1st and then back to neutral. it's true it is a fine line to proper adjustment. depends on what you are willing to put up with.

I can reach down with my hand and pull it up from first and hit neutral every time. Just can't do it with the boot. It's touchy.
