Big Dog K9 Exhaust Advice...

I have a fuel injected 2009 Big Dog K9 with V&H Big Radius 2 into 1 pipes. I'm wondering if anyone has any tips for making my bike louder. I really like the tone of it now, but it's just a little too quiet for me.

I was thinking about removing the baffle, but 've heard there is no way to tune the bike if I do?

Should I consider new pipes?

What are my options?

EFI bikes run lean and therefore hotter than carb models. I would put the bike on dyno after exhaust, intake etc mods to adjust the fuel ratio. I f your VFI module is locked you will have to buy unlocked one from S&S.
You do not want to run your bike leaner-hotter than from factory.
This is only my opinion others might not agree with me on this one.

Paul.

you can mod the baffle to get more sound, do a search for Big City Thunder Baffles, I think that's correct, I also agree with Paul, you should have a dyno if you change the exhaust.

I also have the V&H Big Radius 2 into 1 pipe. I like mine much better with the baffle completely removed.

Your EFI is self adjusting (tuning) to a point. Removing all or part of the baffle is not a big enough of a change to mess anything up. It will probably even handle changing to a completely new pipe or pipes.

Wow, thats awesome news!! Thats what I originaly wanted to do but was told ther could be complications with tuning if I did. I'm going to try removing it and see how it goes! Thanks!

I've got what a lot of people have on their dogs, the 2 into 2 V&H Big Radius pipes. I was going to swap them out until I heard them. Absolutely awesome when you're rolling hard on the throttle. I can't imagine anything sounds better.
