(now for sale) Big Dog Gas Cap.........

I was lucky enough to win one of these Big Dog gas caps on Ebay. The item was listed as used ( picture shows some scratches ) but has an original plastic protector on it. I'm hoping that when I peel it off, the scratches are on the plastic and not the cap itself. I think it is a great looking gas cap and will look nice on my scoot since both my scoot and parts of the cap itself are red. I was just wondering if anyone has one of these caps and are happy with it ?

That is a factory cap....when you pull the plastic off the color flames and logo
come off with it..

it is STOCK....sorry....at least you will have a extra

I did not realize that the logo and flames are part of the protective plastic. If I had known that I would NOT have bought it. Ill probably turn right around and sell it as soon as I get it.

When I bought my bike that same logo was on it..sorry it was in the protective film

Comes off with "Use unleadd fuel only" that is above the flames....

Thanks Splitlog for getting back to me. I honestly thought this was like a limited production custom run cap or something, and not just a standard replacement cap. This is my fault for not knowing this, but the reality of this never crossed my mind. Part of the reason why I thought this cap was rare is because I've seen this cap go for as much as $80 on ebay when the auction for it ended. I assumed everyone wanted it because it sold for top dollar it seemed. I got mine for a little under $40 with shipping. Hopefully I can turn around and resell it for what I paid for it. Not a big deal, I just got exited because I thought I got something that was really unique

I should be receiving this new gas cap any day now. If anyone is looking for a stock factory replacement gas cap, I will sell this one for $39 (shipping is included in price) which is approximately what I paid for it. Please let me know if interested. As I mentioned in my above posts, I did not realize the logo and red flames were merely part of the plastic protector that peels off. I bought the cap thinking that the logo and red flames were actually part of the cap itself, which would make it very unique, however this was not the case.

Maybe Airbrush-Ed can do that for ya. Of course you'll turn that $30 dollar cap into a $300 dollar one. :lol:

I will take it, bought the Left Side one the other day and was looking at this one. They tend to swell and it never hurts to have a spare or change out. Sending you PM for the details
