Big Dog has arrived to Southern California! Big Dog will open a flagship store in Costa Mesa, Ca. I stumbled onto this last night on my way home and confirmed today that they will open the store Sept 2. The official Grand Opening is in October…This is very good news not only for us who live in this area but, also for all Big Dog owners who may have wondered how they are doing…I think this shows that they are here to stay and are still investing in the future…This Store is nice and has a good location…Just on the edge of a very high rent district…See for yourself…

It's 2115 Harbor...near Victoria
The store used to be a Lotus Dealer...no Rolls Dealer near by...But a lot of Rolls owners nearby.

This will be a factory owned and operated store/shop...

Bikes for the rich and famous? OCC wannabes?
no you know that our bikes are way better than OCC's shit. I know, you're talking about the people buying them to look cool. I think it's very cool for the factory to have there own store.

Dogvet i'm surprised at your post...are all Big dog owners in this area OCC wanabes? Do we ride BDM's to look cool? or are we granfathered in since we owned our bikes before the store opened? anyway...

I know Big Dog has had problems securing any market in this area for of many reasons, a lot of which has been discussed on here and resolved by guys like you...And thx:2thumbs:

Big Dog needs to capture some market on this coast and maintain it...if they want a piece of the motorcycle market in this area I guess they feel that they need to do it themselves...And I think thats great and it shows that they are still looking to the future...

Its only riding weather about 300 days a year...

Why not market to an area that can buy a 30k bike during these tough times...

I will support them...and I will still wear my OCC sweats and Hats that I got from Walmart...

Is it ok if I still use your How to's and fixes?

Being that BBC is from that area, do they have any kind of a market that BDM wants to tap into currently?

Just curious. I know there is a shitload of money in people's pockets waiting to be spent out there, but it still seems like a risky market area.

I think it's cool to see a factory owned shop. I'm hoping that will eliminate problems with some current dealerships and lack of customer support. :2thumbs:

I agree factory owned stores could be a big boost in the down market. I'd like to think they would get the service right.

Another round please
Since I live in the OC, this will be awesome. 10 min from home. I dont buy any BDM stuff because there isn't anywhere to buy it. The OC needs this store very bad. There is only 1 shop in the OC thats a service center. They did a great job on my bike, but don't sell any BDM stuff. Now they need to sell more bikes so the service center stays busy ect. They have adds looking for techs online.

Think if I asked they would open one in south mississippi? We have a few upper class trailer parks around here.
