It was definitely a marathon of practice.... many civilians don't get to practice like the military because our ammo is 'provided'. But it is more than that. While on 'the big team' we get the best of everything: guns, ammo, training, $$ and time. Our. guns are built to our specific peculiarities, ammo is matched to our barrels, and everything is focused on winning. Even our military performance reports... we are expected to win, that is our job, and not to be taken lightly. So, I am very grateful to have had, or created, that opportunity to do what I love and get paid for it. Now if I can just find a way to do the same with my bike........ :)
Ooh rah!

I live just East of Dallas; Rockwall TX and I am planning to go. Strokers is the meeting place at 9am for the ride up, so if anyone needs a place to stay the night before.. I have two extra bedrooms, two couches, and a clean (no dog poop) back yard for anyone using a tent (if there is no room in the house). The conditions are: no smoking in the house, no shoes in the house (my wife is from Vietnam), and no politics, just Big Dog talk :)
If for some reason I can not attend... you are still welcome to crash :)
P.S. I have quite a few National pistol Championships to my name (NRA, CMP and USMC) as well as being a Small Arms Weapon's instructor, so I will offer my 'experience' to anyone that want's a marksmanship 'tune up'. I retired from the USMC as the Officer in Charge of the USMC pistol team, and you can google me if you want: MSgt Robert Parker USMC Pistol Team

I'm going to see if I can get a group together from southern Virginia. We have a large group of Big Dog owners here in Martinsville so I am hoping interest will be high. I realize I am late to the party but if I can find at least someone to ride shotgun I will be there.

Never to late. Glad to have you.

Ya riding up there? Keep me posted, I know how to circumnavigate around the rain and if we are going, and Franco don't need a bike, we are riding too.

Was talking with JR about sharing his trailer, it would give me more time.... I'm a best man in Finland mid June.... Bit in the rush.
No worries. Maybe he has room for one or two more K-9's that could be used by the guys coming from overseas? I promised Franco a bike but haven't seen much of him on here lately. Did you go to Carl's and look at the silver K-9? I might just get that one too....

I might be bringing both my Chopper and K9. It will depend on what trailer I get. Was going to rent one but Brad and Val offered for me to use theirs.
