whats your guys thought on the Big Bear Chopper line , I think they are really sweeeeet looking choppers ,if not the sweetest . hard to match .

My brother has one a Merc. We have a couple members here that have them.

But I don't see how they are going to make it with a couple of "Class Action" lawsuits that are pending from their broken frames and electronic issues.
See clubchopper for all the lawsuits.

But yes they build kool bikes and I would buy one now that they have corrected there issues.

I'll be surprised if they survive, don't get me wrong they are nice bikes in both the complete bike and there kit forms but the recent frame recalls for broken welds seem to put a big crunch on there business that along with this economy. Time will tell.

My friend has a sled that they built for him, and he loves it. Really nice bike, and no problems so far. I think he's had it about 3 years. Just check into the years where they had frame issues, club chopper is a good source of info on this. I wouldn't count on any warranty work, treat it as a one off custom and understand that if you have issues, you will be on your own.

nice riding bikes but 100 ci motor is not very strong. Ex local dealer still has over $7000 they owe in warranty repair. He'll prob never see it.

Looks good on the floor but no replacement for the Dog:D

Big Bear Choppers is named after the town they are located in which is on Big Bear lake. Just to clarify for anyone thinking it is a bit of copying. Well, that and the fact they started around the same time.

As far as the bikes themselves, I love them. I just posted in the other thread where someone asked about them but basically it came down to a BBC or a BDM for me (or a Ness Victory Jackpot as a bailout option). From all the forums and everything I've read even with the HUGE frame issue they still seem to have less other problems then BDM. BUT, the way they handled that one massive problem really put me off dealing with them. They have horrible relationships with their dealers (especially now) as well and most of their dealers (that I've looked into) are a joke to begin with and only carry them as an order option or kit drop off point pretty much.

I've test ridden a Sled chopper and a Paradox prostreet and they seem well built and definitely nicer looking then most "production customs". All the extra styling additions in the BBC lines tins and swingarms and so forth make them great to look at. They aren't cheap of course but when you add the optional X-Wedge motor and consider that if you want chrome all around you're looking at a LOT of money. My Wolf came standard with all the chrome and BDMs 121" X-Wedge is larger then BBCs 114" version anyway. The biggest downside to me is that my BDM dealer is a tool and I can't customize a BDM as easily as the BBC because of all the proprietary crap.
