Beware of VR's made in China

As I said on a previous thread......bike went dead....click, click. Had a new voltage regulator and Braille battery installed a month previously. Had to have it towed to Rodney's Cycle House in Little Rock. They checked it out and found the VR putting out 16 volts. So it fried my new battery.
Since this was my second vr in month that went bad, they did a little investigative work. My vr was from Drag Specialties. Come to find out some were made in China and some in the USA. They made sure the new one was made in the USA. We'll see if that makes a difference. Will let everyone know with followups. They installed Drag Specialties instead of a BD vr cos they didn't have a BD in stock. Just sayin'..........
