Thursday was supposed to be the big day, but so far nothin has gone according to plan. The bike finally arrives 11pm sat night .... The transport trailer doesn't fit in my neighborhood so we unloaded in winn Dixie parking lot a couple of miles away. I'm thinking that my first ride is going to be from the parking lot to my house.... If it was only that easy. Long story short .. Battery was dead the bike finally got to my garage about 1am and I didn't get started till 6pm Sunday. I rode the bike for the first time around the neighborhood and it's going to take some getting used to, but I'm hooked already! I'll post some pics as soon as I can.

I know you had no control of the battery during transit, but now you know that Rule #1: always keep on a battery tender. Congrats on the bike and get some pics up for us to see.

not trying to jack your thread, but this whole tender thing....I mean I shipped my bike home about 2.5 weeks ago and itll be another week or so because I get home....is my battery going to be dead? Is it really that bad??

Glad to here the dog made it home. Get it out on the highway and put some miles on. Once you get used to it all the other bikes seem small. These bikes handle better than you think. Enjoy...

According to your manual your bike can loose 2% per day. :D

Ricky J, if you have someone that can get the battery on a tender for you I would do it as soon as possible. The batteries last a long time if you keep them on a tender, at least the high CCA batteries do. Some have had trouble with batteries others haven't but why risk it.
