Best way to lower the Dog?

Got an 05 Chopper that does not have adjustable rear shocks. I know WSW sells stock replacements. However I have not seen anything about lowering the front-end. I searched around but not to much talk about it. What options do we have to lower the front along with the rear?

Shorter Fork Tubes. Chops are 10 over.
They go in increments of 1 inch.
You want to watch your rack and trail though as lowering will affect your handling.

I would not lower a Big Dog because if you haven't scrapped the bottom of the frame yet, you will and it will piss you off. It only took one time of scrapping my frame to teach me not to do that again.

The seat height is only 25 inches anyway but if for some reason you want it lower than that you could try a thinner seat?

The length of the K9's coupled with the frame height above ground doesn't set well with some of my local speed bumps that aren't a problem with the 'Bulldog. Low ground clearance looks good but you got to be careful of your surroundings.

I agree with them all. I have hit bottom once and it made me mad as hell. Got home and found out that the paint was all messed up on the underframe. I'm going to try and touch it up with an airbrush.

You need a really long ramp to load and unload these bikes in trailers already. Or use a hill, either way lowering it will make that difficult as well.

I have hit bottom already, my thing is the "Big" rear fender gap this thing has. It looks like I could go an 1" with no problems. I was hoping to not have to replace the forks with shorter ones, was more curious if I would do a progressive setup their instead? I do know about the rack and trail because I was looking at doing an all around lower.

Lowering the front end won't do anything about the rear fender gap but adjustable rear shocks will!

I understand that. That's why I am asking. Figured lower the whole bike all the way around no problems with trail. I just have not seen to much on lowering the front. I know about adjustable rears shocks.

Find an air ride kit and put in the bump stops. When mine is aired down it has almost zero fender gap and rides like a ridgeback. Have to air it up to get over a speed bump or into a driveway that had a rounded curb.
