I can attest that the scoot was like a new bike with the Metz compared to the old Avons. I bought mine on eBay and to my surprise I got really fresh rubbers. I also had to grind off 1/8" of my rim and polish it back up due to the fact that my rim was scratched and it was not visible at all with the Avons, with the Metz however...... I also put the weights inside of the rim, as compared to those ugly external weights. Looks great, feels great, and works great. VR or V? Who cares? Are you seriously going 200MPH? Neither am I.....

I bought metzlers for my ROADSTAR back a few years ago! they beat everybody back then. MOTORCYCLE SUPERSTORE I think out of OREGON.

I got mine off of ebay last year for $299 with free shipping. Can't remember the name of the seller. It was a bike shop. Was a little worried what I might get. The production date was only about six months old,and it was undamaged.
The local big dog shop was selling them for around $425. I didn't ask if that included installation. If so it would have been $50 cheaper buying it from them,if not it would have been $150 more.

I keep ending up at Dennis Kirk for tires and I buy Avon. I haven't had the problems others have. I have over 10,150 miles on the front right now but it was born the 45 week of 2006. So, It is time for a new one. I have the tire and just need a couple of hours to swap it out. The front tire was $110.63 plus $5.00 shipping. Received it in 5 days.

Well I too joined the f@$* AVON program and purchase myself a new set front and rear of Metzler tires. The clearnace between drive belt and tire edge are like the thickness of a credit card, but they fit, they are dynabead balanced and feel like a million bucks after the wierd wearing slow leaking piece of shit Avon that was only on there for a couple thousand miles. Thanks for all the posts on the Metzlers, so glad I made the change. Well worth it. :2thumbs:
