Metal Polishing

https://wickedproducts.com/wickedshop/Scripts/prodView.asp?idproduct=24That Wizards is great. I use Wizards first then come back behind it with Wickeds. After that it looks fantastic. Only using Wizards left it scratchy looking. If you cant find Wickeds on any shelf which is probably going to be the case. You have to order it. In all it cost around $21 a bottle to order.
But the price has been worth it for me.

I have tried several polishes, and at myrtle I bought WHITE DIAMOND and it works great, brought all of my aluminum back to like chrome. you used it just like mothers, works best by hand, and you rubber until black let dry and remove. It works great.

I just bought the Mr. Buffer polish. Waiting for it to arrive. i have been using Custon English Final Aluminum polish, Mothers Billet polish and Wham Bam to date. All work well and those who know me know that I DON'T let anything dull or get on my aluminum or chrome. I am so anal about that.
So, I'm hoping that this Mr. Buffer stuff outshines all the other products I've used so far. What I'm looking for is a product that leaves no very fine polish scratches in my billet. You know, the kind that show up under direct sunlight. I'm looking to be able to view my billet parts in the brightest sunlight and see nothing but pure spotless mirror like reflection. So, we'll see how Mr. Buffer does under these expectations.

Bruce, next time I make it to your Palace,( :2thumbs: ) can I try a tiny bit of that White Diamond? Always open to a better product for my billet parts.

I,ve gotto try that White Diamond. I just started using MR. Buffer and believe me, it's a great product. Very little elbow grease for effort, blacks up real easy and buffs off real easy. Leaves billet like a mirror.

I still like the mothers for cleaning, but the White Diamond (courtesy of DougG) left a "deeper", "wetter" looking shine to me...

Another thanks to Doug and Pigpen for their elbow grease in helping out a brother with a effin filthy bike this weekend.

Hey, I bought a chamois (shammy) cloth like polish called Classic Cloth. DId a nice a job on the bike - kinda expensive though. Anyway, I was at LOWES the other day and noticed a Truck Box (Aluminum) Polish by Diamond Brite. AWESOME stuff - made the bike look shhhhhweeet! Sparklin!
Check it out if you get a chance. As for wax', try ICE or Liquid Glass - expensive but pretty good wax.

Well guys, i bought Wizards a couple weeks ago, and I got my MR. Buffer in the mail today. I bought the Wizards that looks like cotton candy, not sure if your guys are using that or the liquid. But I can tell you I was impressed with the way Wizards cut through the oxidation, but not impressed with the final finish. The Mr. Buffer on the other hand is amazing. Its looks like green water, very, very thin. You just wipe on, rub in (hardly any elbow grease), mipe off, and your done. It's suppose to be a polish and sealer and one and claims to last for months, we will have to wait and see. I havent tried the White Diamond yet. But this stuff is good enough, that I dont plan on it. I recommend it.

Hey Fellas

I just got ahold of some polish at work..(don't ask how !!! ) and its called 5 Star Brass & Metal Polish. Its made by ZEP. A few guys at work told me to try it out and sure enuff its some nice stuff. It works just like a Mothers Paste, but uses very little elbow grease. It reminds me of Wynol but it has a Jeweler's Rouge in it. Im currently in contact with Zep, and waiting for information on where to get it and the cost. Here is the Product Number if you would like to research Zep yourself. ( # 1396 ). Ive yet to try the Wizard that everyone seems to be talking about. But soon I will... And fellas don't forget to ask your ladies to help Polish your Hog!!!! :2thumbs: GL

The one product that is pure hype and total (expensive) CRAP is "Liquid Glass"...what a joke! Never, I repeat..NEVER use this on your show chrome (even though they advertise "It works wonders on chrome, too!").

The only "wonder" is worked on my 2005 Chopper chrome headlight was:
    :bang: :( :zzsorry: :nopity: :cursin:

Now I'm replacing the headlight with a new one, and NOTHING other than very soft cloths, mild soap and water will ever touch my chrome again!
