I'm new to the forum and a first time owner of a Big Dog. I bought an 07 K9 Limited Edition a few weeks ago and have been recently having problems that I believe are EHC issues after reading other threads. My speedo acts funny and horn goes off and the bike will not start. It has killed on me while riding and done this also. I'm curious if you guys think I'm on the right track with identifying the problem and if so, what is the best fix? Wire Plus, R.I.P. etc. Thanks for you input

Curtis @ WSW is the only one I know that can give your EHC a proper test. He can also sell you a R.I.P. kit if required. Very good vendor on this site to deal with.

So, it's something I'll have to send in then?
To get the EHC tested yes.
We put it on the computer, download the data, then hook it up to a test box, run through all the basic functions and then put it on an environment test bench where we apply heat and vibratory simulation for 30 minutes. At the 30 minute mark we run the EHC through the tests again. At the end of the test we complete an OEM Specification sheet listing all functions and whether they passed or failed the testing and send it back with the EHC.
If the EHC has failed any of the tests we will, if we can determine what caused the failure, tell you what caused the failure.

Its highly unlikely any other shop will do what we do but you might get lucky.
