best cloth for cleaning and polishing bike

I buy the scrap bag of Micro Fiber Towels at Wal-Mart. Cheap and work just as good as a first class micro fiber towel.
I don't touch the bike with anything but micro fiber!

Get several good micro-fiber towels. Wash them first and dry with no static cling stuff (bounce strips). Only use them once before washing them again. Get some Harley "softcloths" as well - they're especially good for cleaning aluminum parts. As far as what polish/wax to use, there are a LOT of threads on that subject already in this Forum which you can search and decide for yourself. Just make SURE you use the right product for the application! (spoken from bad experience!)ENJOY!!!

I wash all of my micro fiber cloths....and then let them air dry! I don't put them in the dryer...
I use the Micro fiber towels from Wal-Mart as well and Maguires Detailer. No water!

micro fiber from sams club in the 25 pack,when rewashing it is a good idea to use fabric softener to keep these things soft as possible

Not jacking the thread, but does washing the cloths (I use the cotton terry towels) and drying with the static clean sheet help to keep your bike from attracting dust???? Seems like after I clean and wax my bikes they are frigging dust magnets!:bang:

I use Meguires cleaner / wax, maybe it's this stuff attracts dust?

Inside of old sweats (shirts and pant). I even use these on my fender under luggage and never seems to scratch. Cheap too at the thrift stores!

I get mine from Kimberly Clark, Microfiber, Sprayway and Rags at ErieCotton.com, check the closeout section. I normally get them for around a buck each.

Same here Costco yellow multi pack.:2thumbs:Costco yellow package of microfibers. Only use them once on the paint then they go to wheel, bug, grease duty. Next they are demoted to wiping up spills and finally they get thrown in the trash.My ol wouldn't wash em and I don't do laundry!

If your using the step-3 or carnuba wax, then yes it will attract the dust because its soft. Try their NXT wax, its synthetic and harder, also lasts longer.
