Just put in an Interstate 310CCA and it works very well. I was told it's the only one with a one year replacement warranty, not prorated. Braille's are hard to get but Deka's are the battery manufacturers for HD, and are told are good as well, Deka claim to have an excellent drop test spec!. The reason they supply Harley.

The only problem I've had with the Interstate was the longer bolts provided with the spacers were too short due to the thickness of all the connections at each post. They reason you need the spacers is because the actual Interstate battery side post connection mount surfaces are not flush with the side of the battery case. I just bought longer bolts, but be careful they aren't too long and push against the backside of the post and stress it.

I wanted a Braille battery but I had to have a new battery ASAP so I couldn't wait for shipment of the Braille. No nearby Braille dealers so I went with the Interstate instead this time

SIICK!!!
Braille hands down! 400+ cold cranking amps! ar ar ar ar! bitch about shoots the starter out! :)

2 year no BS warranty... fairly priced.
I am in the process of attempting to put a group buy together on the Braille Battery. I have been told by several members that the B-2015 is the battery to go with. I will be posting a more formal thread on this by tonight and hope to be able to make it happen next week. Click on the B-2015 and let me know if this is the right size and amperage.
Thanks,
Don
Yep yep! I have had the Braille Battery over a year now and no problems!:2thumbs: even rode to Gas Man's crib and back, 85 miles each way...on just the battery!...then found out my voltage reg. was bad....replaced VR ....GTG now!
That would be the one Don!

I know alota guys lik'em, but I've had nothing but headaches with Dekas. My 06 K9 came stock with one, then went thru two others in just two riding seasons. Warranties are cool, but they don't do you much good when they leave you standed in the middle of nowhere at 2 am. Read on here that alota guys have tried HD batteries. So that's what I did, too, several months ago (standard softail battery). And so far, at least, no problem. Brailles are pretty much the gold standard, tho

The guy who owned the K-9 before me put an Interstate in 2 weeks before I bought the bike from him. I have the receipt for the purchase of the battery. I have now had the bike for three months and it has always been kept on a tender. The battery died the other day after 2 hours of riding. Stopped to eat some lunch and it would not turn over and I had to jump it so I could get home. I called him and he said that it was his second Interstate battery after his first one died 5 months after getting it and this was the replacement. I am now done with Interstate and would be glad to get in on a Braille Group Buy!!!

I got the braille, so far so good.
The paper that came with it said it tested at 625 amps!!!
That is just crazy!
Paid $146 from a-teck which is the supplier for summit.
I ordered it with a bunch of parts for customer cars so I didn't have to pay shipping on one item.

Im using a Drag Specialties 310CC and it's an absolute piece of shit. I wonder if the bike will turn over EVERY time I leave it unplugged from the trickle more than a few hours.

I'd get in on that Braille group buy. Just lemme know.
