Belt Driven Primary

Got it on!

Got my Ultima 3.5 belt drive on today. Only problem is the stock jack shaft not aligning. It starts but sometimes hangs up. Ordered a Jack fix from Scooters. The belt drive took out 50% of the vibration and now shifts better and I can actually find neutral!

Doing 75 - 80 my mirrors work! I can see what kind of car is behind me. Sound good too. A lot less noise compared to the BDL drives I put on my other bikes.

This is for a 2004 Chopper 107: Parts needed:

Midwest motor pulley insert/offset 1 1/2 Part # 58-611

Midwest Nut motor pulley long Part # 58724

Global motor spacer (inner pulley) Part # 17-270

Scooters Jack shaft fix (found on ebay)

Yes, fast shipping and good communication. I also forgot to say the clutch hub has to be drilled out 1/4 inch to fit the Baker shaft. I think they have a clutch hub to fit the Baker so ask first.

I know this is an old thread but I’m currently doing an Ultima open primary swap when you guys say drill out 1/4 inch are you saying removing the splines 1/4 inch or increasing the bore 1/4”?

If you go back a page and look at post 8. You can see in picture 3, the back side of the hub. Yes we cut the splines out, but only deep enough to align the clutch housing

it looks like it’s gonna be about 1/4” machined out i didn’t catch that the splines hit and ran it up with the main nut i then spent about two hours trying to get the basket off the trans shaft cuz it got wedged on there my buddy is a machinist I’m gonna have him bore it out did you guys just have it cut to the lowest part of the spline or was the trans shaft bigger then that i forgot to measure the shaft while i was over at my buddies. The bike is in storage still at his house for a few more weeks yet.
