Hey guys! So took my new to me 04 chopper 117ci for its first ride today in ATX..first off i love the bike rode like a dream! Couldnt be happier...im new to belt driven bikes, after my ride today 80 or so miles..i parked the bike then pushed it forward and heard a wierd noise sounded like rubber streching..im 95% sure its the belt but is that normal? It wasnt doing that before i took it for its first major ride..belt looks good, appears to be good..

Yes this in normal per-say. Just keep an eye on the pulley. When the teeth start getting sharp, or it get to the point that you can hear it when your riding, replace the pulley with a Teflon coated one.
If you want to check the tracking, jack the bike up and roll the tire forward, and watch how the belt tracks. Then roll the tire backwards and the belt should move to the other side.
The belts themselves should last many thousands of mile, but I have seen them fail, keep an eye on any cracking.

a little odd sound that i don't think anybody has mentioned before might be the culprit. not saying it isn't the belt but, did the previous owner mention that he had put "dyna-beads" in the tires for balancing? if there are no external weights on the wheels, there is a good chance it has the beads. this is a good thing. if you have a jack, raise the bike up and give the front tire a spin. does it make an odd noise when it rotates? if it does, check the back one also. is this the sound you heard? worth a check. doesn't cost anything but a little time.
