Good Luck Will. Dont pay attention to the negitive posts. Stay positive and all will be good. We need to keep people around that know these Dogs. The support we had for the Wire Plus got beat up and he quit, Now nobody can seem to find kits or get much help from Wire Plus. Keep up the great work.
I agree - Don't pay attention to the negative posts - I was having a Senior moment (few and far between):bang:

PS: I will try and delete my posts.

Done - Its all good.

Yeah I know we aren't very good at the Facebook thing, nor are we good at making a web page either....but we are very good at repairing Bigdogs and other bikes too. You can call BDM for service and they will give you my number. We are at our new shop from 8am to whenever. Doug was at BDM for over 12yrs and now we have Shane with us....which makes us a great team!! Also means theres not a motorcycle out there we can't fix. Appointments should be made so we can get your bike in and back to you. Miles your right! I need to quit messing around and figure out how to reprogram those ECUs.

Just to clear some things up...C.A. Jones is the name of our company...not a person ..It's a play on words....Spanish for "Balls". When I first started posting on this website, I used the name of our company in lieu of my name..which is Doug Beckham ..I worked side by side with Will for over 13 yrs at Big Dog Motorcycles in just about every department..mostly R&D and Service. If you have ever had your bike into the factory....chances are I've worked on it. All the negativity I've been reading is disappointing. It's a good thing we're too busy to pay much attention. To the vast majority of people who are supporting us...Thank you!!! I also want to thank Shane Doty for helping us out today..(Another long time BDM employee)

Nice one!! If I was up your way my second home would be your shop lol. I'm a fan of businesses that get their clients from word of mouth/recommendations. That shows that they do good work and stand behind it (can be hard to find these days). I honestly dont think having a flash website or a big FB page are all they are cracked up to be. If your not having trouble finding business, then I dont see the need. I do however belive in having some sort of presence on the interweb. Even if its just something as simple as being able to find a mention in a google search (name, address, email addy and phone etc), as alot of folks will at least "google it" if they havent used you before.

Sounds like you have a great crew there with alot of knowledge and experience. Best of luck to ya.

Please accept my apology for my negativity. I deleted my posts. I have no excuse. I was up in the middle of the night taking care of Cats and Dogs so my wife could sleep and got carried away.

Thanks for being there for us Big Dog owners and I assure you that if I can't fix it, I'll ship my bike to you'all to work on it.

Again,

I am very sorry for my behavior.

So Doug, when you first started posting under this handle, I had you as this big black guy covered in bling from head to toe!

It's great to hear the whole story of you and Will. Kansas Dogs are very fortunate to have you in their back yard. ... I still think you two should set up shop down here!

Great to hear that you opened your own shop - congrats to you Will and Doug. You defenitely would have my business if I am bit closer to Kansas...there is such a need of good knowledgable mechanics in Los Angeles.....
well, by any chance any spare Wire Plus or BigDog PDM for a K-9 2008 carb in your shop?
Need to get that fixed before I go onto the RFTW ride this coming May:flag:

Will and Doug...Congratulations on your new business venture. Get that facebook page done asap. Social Media such as Facebook is the best way to advertise nowadays. Social media is the future of advertising and most other conventional advertising
will become obsolete.

I am in need of some parts, sissybar and pegs for my 06 K-9, and can't seem to find any shops that carry them. I have read that BDPP is a nightmare to get parts from. I have also read that others have had no problems with them. what is your opinion on ordering parts from them and who would be a good contact over there for parts.
Thanks...what is the phone number for BDPP for parts.

Our shop is able to perform whatever repair your motorcycle need, from complete motor repair, transmission rebuild, EFI models, paint repairs, whatever it needs. We have been trained by S&S, Baker, being in engineering for so long we had the opportunity to work with all the vendors from Avon,Meanstreet, Daytec, Rolling Thunder, Super Trapp and many more.
We know some people that have BDM parts....if your having trouble getting them, give us a call and let's see if we can help you out.

I have a 2004 chopper and the ECH went out. First the head light, Then the horn and finally the intermittent starting issue. Purchased the Wire Plus Retro Kit, Installed it and now it won't start at all. All of the other electrical work fine. I have fuel, but I have no spark. I did install the new ignition switch from wire plus. So I had to disconnect the coil and remove it so I could grind coil cover to fit the new ignition. I connect the wires going from the ignition to the coil and a single hot wire from the old wiring. I have tested this lead and it is hot when the key is in the on position. I was told that with this coil it doesn't matter which side they are connected to as long as each post has a connection. (Positive & Ground). anyway, The starter engages and the motor turnover but it will not start. The one thing that puzzles me is that I did not see an ignition module in the area where the ECH was. I have also looked in the hose cone, nothing there. Did the ECH every have the ignition module integrated in to that component? Any help would be great. Thanks for staying out there for the poor soles that have these bikes.
