bdm spikes

i sent bdm a request for some spikes for the lower handle bar bolts below the top triple clamp what do you guys think?

well how about two long set screws going into the top spike.make the spike extra think at the top because of the 3/4 headed bolts and make it match the top fork spikes?

I'll try to get something figured up.
I like to stay as far away from those little tiny set screws as possible.
I guess I could use stainless and bump it up to a 1/8" or 3/16" set screw.

a 8-32 or a 10-32 would provide plunty of grip i would think.

Jake what about the fork cap spikes? can they be modified? If it stops raining I'll go down and see if they will fit. That would look Wicked!

I am going to do some measuring and make a set of spikes that are the same diameter as the bars so they look like they are pounded down through the triple trees and sticking out the bottom. I will have a design done by the end of the weekend so we can get rollin on them. I'll post an update here next week.

Bdm - with all the vibes would any type of adhesive work? I had one of the highway transponders with double sides tape mounted under my bumper - I needed a heat gun to remove the dam thing. Nice work btw ..

you could always put alittle silicon on them before they are mounted for insurance



p.s. let me tell ya, polishin this stuff outside sucks when its cold, lol.
esp. the new fork clamps that everyone needs to buy, hint hint, lol.
