BDM Performance parts... Beware!!!

These shouldn't be issues to begin with IMHO. BD performance parts seems to be off to a bad start, I think I would be hard pressed to buy from them. BDM had great customer service and it's just gone down hill... you would think they would start this new venture off on a much better foot.
Just playing Devils Advocate Bubblehead but wouldn't they be "damned if they do, damned if they don't". I'm not necessarily taking up for BDM Performance Parts, but it is probably a big transition, and a complicated one. Before they opened we had people on here checking their website everyday thinking they should open the day BDM closed. Maybe BDMPP open to soon. Maybe they should've taken more time to get organized, but then again just as many people would have complained that we were left without a parts supplier and this thread would be about that.

Almost $400.00 for a starter is high and 25% restocking is a deal breaker in my opinion, but maybe that's the cost of doing business. I don't know.

On the other hand, this is not a knock on Boris, but I would like to see what condition the starter was in exactly. The condition of the starter is all relative. What could be deemed unacceptable to Boris may be trivial to most people. Some people may be just more particular than others

Just my dos centavos, not trying to step on anyones toes.

I hope they improve as well, but my experience wasn't great either. I ordered a specific part number by clicking on BACK-ORDER. A couple of weeks later, I got an email saying the part was ready to ship, just enter my credit card. Well, I called them first to verify it was there and happened to ask for the part number. It was not the one I ordered. The part might have worked, but they should've told me they were going to substitute a different part.

I also bought a used K-9 and it was lack of previous owner blues. I have fixed everything from the manual i received from here. A little mechanical knowledge and service is the key. Everyone here are great and alot of knowledge as well. Love this site.
