BDM Performance.com...anyone have problems?

Just wanting to know if anyone has had problems using the BDM performance web site? I"M NOT starting this thread to have all the cry babies bitch about their bike so if your wanting to do so, keep on going, Lol...
I'll tell you what happened. My very first order with this site was Monday July 9th. I called and placed an order for an ignition switch for an '04 Pitbull. I received the switch on Thursday, July 12th. Only to my surprise, it was the wrong part. The switch that I received was for a '99-'02. This switch will not work on the '04 because not only a larger size, but it also works off of 12 VDC, not the 5 VDC like newer ones. So, I called them up, told them the problem, they told me I had to send the other back in order to get my money back, so I did. BUT, they could not over night the part even though it was their mess up. I was a little mad about that but under stood due to high shipping cost. SO instead they agreed to ship it 2 day so that I would have it on Saturday. To make this long story a bit shorter, it did not show up Saturday, or did it show up today, Monday...so I called USPS and come to find out, it was never shipped out till Friday.
Has anyone else had a problem with ordering parts?
I just hope the correct one will be in the mail tomorrow so I can get this customers bike back together :(

Yes I have had several issues with ordering from them, I have ordered several items and it seems that at least half is placed on back order. I have contacted them on several occasions and always get the same I don't know when the parts will be shipped but we will call you back soon with that info. I am still waiting for my parts and to here from them.

So far, I've had good results from them! I've ordered two things from them on line and received the parts within 4 days. I just placed an order for two oil lines over the phone last week. We'll see how that one goes!

Thanks for the response guys. Mine was not an issue of being on backorder, they just plane screwed up. I hope the next time I order from them, I will not have any issues. I love Bigdogs and have had nothing but good to say about them. I'll keep my fingers crossed, and hope for better customer service for future sales :up:

I ordered front fork seals and bushings for my 07 Bulldog inverted forks and received all ordered parts within a week without problems. Thats when John Nasi was still there five months back.

I ordered 2 sets of 2'' tie downs with built in soft straps like Nukeranger has and they arrived 2 days later. I was suprised at the shipping speed

Just an update. I did receive the correct switch on Tuesday. They no longer are using the two wire switch that came on '03-'08? It's a 4 wire, 2 plug switch that's used on the Bulldogs. Two position, but works great. The Pitbull is up and running and should make for a very happy customer :)
On another note, still waiting for BDM to refund my money back for the other switch :(

I ordered a new Medallion speedometer last Tuesday and it cleared customs and everything and was at UPS on Friday. As stated by UPS, it got delivered on Monday. For coming to Canada that was really fast service. The only thing was i got tagged $118 from UPS for brokerage, custom fees and taxes.

Last month I needed a clutch cable overnighted for a 07 K9, got it the as advertised with a $50 express fee. I think they are pretty good when you can provide an exact part number rather than a part or model description. I am sure because it is a common replacement part was another advantage also.

Everything I have ordered from them so far went smooth and came pretty quick.

I also noticed that the web site works better for me if I use Mozilla Firefox verse Internet Explorer. I do like the ability to serach for part number now on some of the models by drilling down in the exploded views.

Not perfect but does seem to be getting better.

Still many have had issues.

actually have got everything that i have ordered…… no problems, and they have been good about questions and billing. A1 in my book so far.

Here's an update to my response. I received my oil lines yesterday so all is well, I've received everything I've ordered from them...:2thumbs: The thing is make sure they have what you're ordering and you should be golden...
