Still not real clear what's going to happen to BDPP. It's a separate company right and not mentioned as part of the foreclosure? Sounds like the building they are in is though.

This really sucks what do we do with our 25k to 30k bikes without parts.
Then Big Dog had to make the bike with their propriortory parts that really sucks also.
This companyy really screwed its buyers and followers.
I wish I stuck with a Harley.
What good is a bike you can't ride because the manufacturer couldn't back them up with parts not to mention service.
bad ass bikes but I want to ride mine not look at it.

Not too late... go ahead and sell that BD and get yourself a Harley then.

A company failing and going bankrupt is hardly a plan to screw its buyers.... and as for its true followers, like myself, will keep these bikes on the road with or without BDPP.

Hey, just so you don't lose out too much I'll give you 100$ for the dog. You can change out any part on the bike with aftermarket parts with a little know how, which usually this forum will supply if you don't badmouth the bikes themselves. JUST SAYIN!

The only parts on a Big Dog that are truly proprietary are the frame and tins, everything else is a bolt on from the S and S to the electrics.
Choppers are the Ferrari of the bike world and constant attention is mandatory, if you want cookie cutter Harley is calling......

Majority of the bike is proprietary
Sure you can "make it" non-proprietary if you purchase all the parts again and swap them out. But at that price you might as well go buy another custom that isn't proprietary
