BDM Parts FAIL!!!!

I buy parts from the all the time and not once have they sent me the wrong one. Maybe I know what I am ordering, just saying. My latest order was Rotor buttons, ordered them Monday and they came in today. :2thumbs:

this just happened to me the other day, i ordered the rear Brake Banjo Bolt with Pressure switch for my 07 K-9. they sent me the Front one for extended controls. So i have called them three times now and finally got ahold of bob and he said they made that setup there at the shop so he isn't sure they can get me the piece i need. He had to talk to someone else and check then he would get back to me, that is what the last guy said Friday when i got the wrong part and i didn't hear back so called again today Frustrating to say the least

I was very nice when I ordered correct. Now I cut out the middle man and the bike is fine. I took a get smart class....cut out the fail.
Not sure who all you are calling "peacemakers" or who you think is "offended" or won't "let someone vent" but all I was saying is...have you spoke to the business that did you wrong before publicly calling them a name. A business can't improve if they don't know that they made a mistake. If I did something wrong, I would like to know so that I can improve and make it right. I certainly would hate to find out that I was being called an asshole behind my back. I think anyone would feel this way. This goes back to Bible times...you go to that person that you have issue with first.
A mistake doesn't make someone an asshole. Knowing about a mistake and refusing to make it right...now THAT would be an asshole.
No one said don't vent...but venting to others isn't really going to fix the problem.
I'm sorry that you are having problems with your bike and hope that you can get it resolved and sorry if anyone took offense to my comments.

Unfortunately there are some of us who insist on making a statement before thinking it through. IMHO; In most cases if one would take the time to evaluate their statements Im pretty sure that most of us would use a more judicious form of stating their feelings. Kathy, I`m sure that being from Oklahoma you are familiar with the saying of bringing a horse to water but you can`t make him drink. Sometimes the best of intentions seem to fall on deaf ears. Keep pitching though Biker Babe!

I definitely get the need to vent. Downtime is frustrating as hell. Hopefully, BDPP sees this kind of feedback and uses it to improve. I hope it survives. I want to see the Big Dog name continue. I think we tend to forget what kind of shakeup there was at BD just months ago, so I'm willing to cut them some slack FOR A BIT. For all I know, BDPP is 3 guys working out of a warehouse. Someone is trying when they could have just walked away. When a business is struggling, it sucks because you can't afford to staff up properly, and the current employees don't have time to do everything themselves. So quality suffers. This is the make it or break it time. Improve or die. If nothing else, they really need a good customer service person answering the phone. It's easier to overlook an incorrect order if you can speak to someone who appears to care. The tshirts, etc. are a good idea. It's got a profit margin, and it doesn't take much time. Every shirt is a walking billboard. Ever see a Harley shirt? They're freakin everywhere. I do give BDPP a fail on their ECM replacement price. If the part is to replace an crappy OEM one, I think you've got to put it out there at a fair price.

I will apologize in advance but I am confused by your comment. I bet you were nice when you ordered but the rest of the story doesn't show me you were very nice. You also sound impatient. I don't understand how you cut out a middle man? You must be able to do everything without the help of others! What is a smart class because I might be interested in taking it? All I could find was classes for children. Good God Almighty! I've seen similar posts about other vendors before and half the forum jumped on the "bashing" bandwagon. But one negative post about poor customer service with BDPP and everyone gets their panties in a wad. If you order, get the wrong part, then call and Cust Serv says they'll look into it and call you back but don't call back, you call them again and someone else says they'll look into it and call you back, it's called the run-a-round. I'd be pissed too! Not sure I would post my complaint but then again I might. It is what it is. I don't ever order from BDPP because the website sucks. "Pictures available soon" from the company that built the bikes to begin with is poor management. How long does it take to post a picture of a part? I bet you don't see that on Biker Babes or AmyLulu's company's sites.
