I received a post card today saying that BDM is starting an owners group. I don't know if everyone remembers that there was a lot of chatter at the other board regarding this, but I was asked to fill out a survey, anyone else get a card?

Thanks,

This certainly is well past due. Too bad Tornado got cancelled, would have been a great place to kick it off.

Got my card today. Kinda lame website survey. I say shit or get off the pot already. Between canceling Tornado and this lame survey I am thinking about joining something local.

Blitz, Whats up with a PA chapter:feedback:

Quite Honestly, I think there are way too many Forums already, If you think the current BD Owners group is a Bitch Fest, wait until a BD Sponcered one comes online. Least we kinda had an effect of getting rid of the dick bags like B-Dog, How bad do you think it will be if it's a BD Run Site?
Damn straight BLITZ

I would hope BDM would offer deep discounts to those of us that bought new AND joined their forum. Double deeper discounts for each new bike bought. Raywood will be getting cool guy shit free.

Ya know what pisses me off, For all the Faults of the "other Site", Bama did put it together and from things I've read, it seems to me that it was his goal to get a BD Sponcership for that site. FC Posted over there that it is to be an elite site (Group) of "Chosen Few", I'll bet you the list begins with No Warentee Claims. I'm betting BD does not want a single location where perspective buyers can go to see KNOWN Issues. If they Did, they would have it linked to the main Site. Just My Opinion, But if I were in charge of BD, I'd probably not want to round up all my previous buyers and allow them to comiserate either. If you just fell off the turnip truck and start reading the tech sections over there, you would think you bought a lemon. But I'd guess that 70% of problems with these bikes are self inflicted.

The Problem is, Joe Shit's the Rag man does not see this, he only see's HOW DO I JET MY CARB? I DIN"T TOUCH MY BIKE FOR 3 MONTHS and I PUT IT ON A TENDER FOR AN HOUR AND IT WON"T START.
I understand what your saying Blitz....shit, I couldn't even get helped to log in on the other site! Gas Man and Vickie both shot Bama a e-mail saying that I wanted to register and I kept getting the e-mail banned shit! nice of people to look out for others huh.....then Gas told me about this site and since then...everyone here is really cool and helpful.I figure if someone doesn't give a shit to help someone new out on a site...then I don't want to be a part of that ....I don't like wasting time on "little shit"

I don't think it is about a website and I think it is a foregone conclusion that they are doing it. I think it is meant to be--for better or worse--like HOG. Thus I hope it doesn't become b-dog. Just a way to build a bit more community like HD has and maybe make the dealers more involved after the sale. Again, not my opinion just my observation, but a lot of people like to hang at an HD dealer, there are a lot of events and they sponsor rides generally every weekend. I know this would probably not be attractive to folks in a club--again I don't know details on clubs so if I speak out of turn please excuse me, don't flame me--as they generally have their own events, rides and I assume a lot more. But what I would think is good for everyone is discounts on parts, insurance and financing.

Thanks,

Dave, I don't think you do, I'm saying Bama been running things over there for a long time, and although the Site has some issues, I think he deserved a crack at his site being the starting ground for an Owners group. JMO
But I don't think Big Dog has any interest in what the customers have to say unless it's possitive feedback. Or can promote their product. I think it's a good product, but I also think they really need to listen to their customer base a bit.
I gotcha Blitz....don't get me wrong...I still read all the forums on that site...I was just a little irritated that I was trying for over a month to register and nothing...so I assumed that they didn't give a shit...if I could register today on there I would....but I kinda just stuck with just reading the post that people put up and thats about it....not even trying anymore...I have just been sticking to this site....was just doing a little venting....:spank:

I sent this note to BDM:
I have an 2006 Mastiff that I bought new. The speedometer starts
fogging up after about 28 miles. Is there a way to vent this unit? Also, the speedometer bounces sometimes above 60 mph. On a side
note, Harley has a HOG group, Does Big Dog have an Owners Group?

BDM Answer:
We have an updated speedometer. Take the bike to an authorized dealer
and we will replace it under warranty.
We are currently in the process of starting our own Owner's Group. It
should be up in a month or so.
