BD Soft pull, Baker, Energy One Clutch

Some may already know this but if not:

I'm working on an 05 chopper for my wife (12 plate clutch) and wanted to go to the "Soft Pull".

I ordered the Soft Pull from a BD dealer. When it arrived, the 9 plate clutch pack was in a Baker bag and the plates inside were Energy One.

The bottom line is you get the same clutch pack reguardless of who you order from (Energy One).

At first, I was going to order direct from Energy One but got concerned about the diaphragm spring (was it different). After compairing the new soft pull spring versus the old stock spring that was in the 05 chop, I could not find any difference.

Hope this helps others when they replace their clutch.

Glad to see everybody is understanding where the clutch plates are coming from. When Baker first started selling to Big Dog, yes they were a 12 plate kit. Then they decided to make a 9 plate kit. The 9 plate kit is the one that is on Ebay for $119. The only reason this kit is up is that is what is sold as the replacement kit. If anyone needs a 12 plate kit, we have the capability of making up that kit too.

Please feel free to contact us at any time if you have any questions. We do make all the clutch plates for BDL, Rivera Primo, Baker, Karata, Bandit, Sputhe, EFM and also do custom relines on vintage plates.

Too Badd Customs is one of our dealers and you can always go to them for help and order through them as well. Mick is always a great help.
