BD Analog Tach

I have been wanting to add one of these on my 05 Pit for sometime, but the $400 + price tag kept me from purchasing one....I got one on Ebay for 150.00....I just like the sweeping needle and the look to match my speedo....

??? My understanding is that these are just plug and play.....is this correct? Do they light up? Any expirences you have with these would be appreciated.

That tach was made for the older models that didn't have a tach. Your 05 came with what the older models didn't have. So if you are going to install that one then you are going to have to modify the wiring. But shouldn't be to hard to run a couple leads of the ignition. Have fun

My understanding was that it was a plug and play.

Nothing else needed but the mounting bracket.

There is an accessory tach plug under the tank of ALL Big Dogs from way back up through 2011.

I saw that when I replaced my factory tach.....I got from the Ebay seller BIGDOGMOTORCYCLIST - He has a tons of BDM stuff listed - to include rollers!! This one says it includes the mounting bracket...

Recieved my analog tach today and I must tell you that this is a real nice add-on to the bike. It was plug n' play, the handlebars were set up for the tach mount, two bolts, ran the wire via the existing loom underneath the center dash and plugged right in. Start it up and worked like a charm! Lights and dash face match perfect to my factory speedo/tach and it fills the space between the bars perfectly. This should have been a stock part from BDM. Call me old school, but I prefer the swing needle of a speedo and tach! These were like $400.00 and I got mine form BDM Ebay seller for 150.00.
