I'm not sure what battery came from the factory on that bike but all here use a few different choices for a battery. You will need a minimum of 310cca.
I use an HD battery:
65989-97C
This battery is 315cca. I've used this one on all my Big Dog's with no issues.

X4 I have the HD..not gonna hurt to have more. go for it.
I want to share my recent experience with cheap Chinese Lithium battery.(H.D. battery was still cheaper by about 70 dollars)
So I put the battery in and started the bike three or four times - it cranked the motor better than
my old battery - all good I thought but when I took the bike for a very short spin (lucky it was short)
it has fried my voltage regulator and burned my headlight globe. When I parked the bike in my garage the volt meter was showing over 17 volts on the battery while motor was idling.
Now I have a new regulator and a H.D. battery in there and that is what I will be putting in my bike from now on!

I went with the Duracell this time 310ca never on the charger this summer. It has set for a week or so with no problems starting. This winter it will be on the charger. First of spring it will be a year old. We shall see.

If its a battery that you add the juice to it, you know it wasn't sitting on a shelve for a year before you get it. The ones you add the juice to, tell you to let it stand for an hour or 2 so the fluid can absorb into the matting, then charge it but don't use a charger with more than 2.0 AMPS the 1st time you charge it.
