My battery seems to drain about every three days.I am using a 2.5 amp battery charger.Should I be using a battery tender instead?

Yes you should use a battery tender instead of regular battery charger. At 2.5 amp of constant charge, you may be cooking the battery and that could be why it is dying. Recommend that you have the battery fully tested at the local parts store (NAPA, AutoZone, Advance, Pep Boys, etc) and if still good, get a battery tender and use it. Recommend the battery tender that maintain about .75 amp.

Also in general the batteries only seem to get about 2 years out of them regardless if battery tender is used or not.

I have the BatteryMinder available on my website that a lot of guys use. It has a desulfation mode that seems to help give a little longer life to a battery. I have the original battery in my 05 Road King at 44K miles and it still load tests fine. It wont last this long in a Dog just using this as an example cause most guys never get 5 years out of a battery no matter what they ride. If you want to check them out follow this link. I could have it to ya in a few days.:2thumbs:
Thanks

You have probably already fried that battery. You should be able to get a battery at any auto parts store but I would call around first. As previously said get a tender not a charger! Good luck!

I don't handle any batteries at this time. I could possibly use my dealer status to negotiate a direct group buy from Braille. I would need to know the specific battery and about how many would be interested. The more the better I'm sure. Let me know if I can help.

A lot of guys on this forum swear by the Braille Battery.
I just called Braille and was told if we had a specific part number and a number needed I might be able to work something out.
