I'm currently using a Battery Tender Jr. 12V 1.2 Amps. My friend is telling me that I should be using a 6 Amp tender. Is he correct?

Depends on how fast you want to charge the battery. The 1.2 amp is sufficient for the typical size of motorcycle battery most of us use.

So Omar. Are you just refusing to do an intro or what? Get your butt over to the intro section and tell us a litttle about yourself and what you ride man!

I've used the jr for 3+ years now on the dog. It's still original as is the battery and they both do as they're supposed to when they're supposed to. So, it's working just fine for me!

1.2 amps Max. This is what most tenders are. Hell even a 750ma would be ok in storage conditions. 6 amp is way too heavy.
