Battery Tender - Newb Question

I just received my battery tender jr tonite. Can I just hook this up the the quick connect adapter or do I need to connect to the battery terminals. I did some searching on this basic question, but could not find anything. I am thinking I can us the the quick connect, but do not want to mess anything up.

what quick connect are you talking about?????? is this something new for '09????????? if the existing qc goes straight to the battery, should be ok, as long as it fits. but make sure it doesn't go to the ehc. don't know why it would but wouldn't hurt to check.

The tender should come with the end to connect to the battery so you have a quick disconnect system. Mine did.

I use the quick connect pig tail. It's easy and you don't need to remove your seat every time you use it.

Yep use the quick connect, with the '08's, or at least the K9's, they came pre installed with a pig tail to hook up to the battery tender. My cheap ass owners manual even says all 08's + should have them. The stealer that I got the bike from didn't even know about it till I reached under the side plate and pulled it out.

probably goin to catch hell from the forum.....but I dont use a tender....I ride my scoot daily and it hasn't been an issue...The Braile battery I use, has plenty of crankin amps....

where is the quick connect,i have a 2009 ,i see the connections at the battery posts,but i can't find other end of quick connect under side covers.

I read somewhere, who knows where, that it takes at least a 20 minute ride to fully recharge the battery from starting the bike. I put mine on the charger after EVERY RIDE. The charger shows "red", meaning it's charging, for probably 10 to 20 minutes after i plug it in. Lead me to believe that it's needed. Battery is 2 years old and going strong. Never had starter problems in 22,000 miles!!

It should be hanging out on the right side under the seat below the battery box. That is where mine is on my 09 Mastiff.

the right side is when u r seating on bike ,right,i felt up under cover,but i can't feel it,i guess i will have to take cover off,thks.

Don't know if you found it or not, mine is on the right side (while sitting on bike) just under the bottom edge of side cover. Feel for the hoop that connects the boot that covers the end of the quick connect. Should be tucked under there somewhere.
