RETIRED
<<<Lightning Start battery update>>>
It has been a month and a half since i have received and installed the lightning start Amazon special. The bike has not failed to start yet. Engine turns over with ease. The bike has not been ridden in several weeks now due to weather. and without a battery tender maintaining it the bike had no issues cranking and fired right up this morning.
Good news. Thanks for the update.

Learning every day!
I used an interstate battery with 300CCA, thought it would last a while since they work so well on farm equipment... nope, after three years it is starting to show its age if it don't put it on the maintainer. I'll try the one with 500CCA next!

I'm surprised you got 3 years out of an interstate. Couple guys around here tried them and they died on the second year. Go to a Harley dealer and pick up a Deka. Their lasting 5-7 years.

And there you go! I got a Deka also. The post are really made well. Some are cheap and break off.

Hi guys , I know this is an old thread but it’s good to keep adding to it , anyways , have used Deka , Yuasa , they all lasted 10-14 month , going with Duracell Ultra now (24 month warranty) no tender on my bike , hope everyone doing well …
