Battery Problem?

OK don't know much about the wiring on these BDM's but I have a brand new battery and I keep it on a trickle charger but after a full day of riding it is eating up the battery and won't hold enough juice to start. They checked it at the shop before I took the bike home and it was charged up fine.

Sounds like regulator to me but just asking opinions here before I tear into it.

Thanks again for all and any help on this matter:cheers:

Could be the regulator. Also check the circuit breaker that the regulator feeds to, to make sure its not tripped. There was a recall on some 05 and 06 regulators.

If the breaker is not tripped, when the bike is running you should be getting 14 volts or more back to the battery

Thanks V. Been reading the service manual going to bring the Volt Meter home tomorrow and do some trouble shooting. Will start with the battery output then make sure the breaker is not tripping and check connection and go from there. Worse case could be Regulator as I suspect.
