Has anyone had something drawing their battery dead? Think I have that problem. I have an '09 K9 carbureted.

How much DC current is the bikes system drawing when the bike is sitting?

It should always be connected to a Battery Tender or similar maintenance type charger designed for MAT type batteries when you're not riding.

Disconnect the (-) battery terminal. Set the digital voltmeter (DVM) to read DC current at less than 10amps. Connect one meter lead to the (-) battery terminal and the other lead to the all of the battery ground wires that were connected to the battery terminal.

You should read less than 75 mlliamps as a guess. The EHC will draw some IDLE current when the bike is off.

Thank you. I will try that.
It sat on the tender all winter, and was dead right off the start. Tender might be screwed.
