I looked and didn't see anything about this, maybe I missed it (I'm sure someone will show me if I did) Has anyone heard anything about the Deka Battery. I have heard they are outstanding, pricey but worth it. ALSO, what is the proper cranking amps we should have for a good battery so as not to harm the starter?

There's been several that have mentioned DEKA in the past. It seems to be a good battery! Our stock batteries had 270 CCA's so your best bet is to get a battery with at least 300 CCA's or more if you can find one...

Unless something has recently changed...they make the battery for our bikes that O'Reilly's Auto Parts sells.

Yes I called the Odyssy company and they told me I would be better off buying a Harly battery because their battery would be smaller and less cold cranking amps for the battery box we have.

I second Trainguy. I got the Tomioka B1500 and it is working fine. I tested it at 470 CCA (Cold Cranking Amps). I was going to get the Braille but others on the forum said try the Tomioka. I think they are both good.

Always still charge mine once a week regardless of battery age. Big Dog electrical systems are very sensitive to any voltage or current changes...

I have heard that both Deka and Harley batteries are good. But, I like my Braille B2015 at around 700 CCAs and will stick with them!
