Battery Cover Bolt Stuck

I am fixing to install a Scorpio SR-i900r alarm on my 2007 k9 and I cannot get the bolt out of the right battery box. The left one comes out with ease. The stubborn bolt feels like it has tension on it (like its on a tight rubber grommet or something) but will never back out. It will also not tighten (just keeps turning). Any thoughts on this? Could it be stripped out? If I could get it out I could possibly re thread. All ur thoughts on how to get the bolt out without further damage will be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Big Dog replaced the bolts with push-in pins thru rubber grommets. The bolts were cracking the fiberglass taps on the side covers. I use a plastic j hook tool, used to remove inside door car panels. I stick the j tool under the pin and lift up. Some of the pins you can stick your finger under and push up on it and the pin will come out.

Ok so I removed the right side front bolt and it is a bolt that screws into the front corner of the cover. I still can't remove the left side front bolt. Any other suggestions? I tried to pull it out and it would not budge. An I doing something wrong? The bolts are regular threaded bolts so they don't just push in and out right? I'm struggling. Help!

Ok guys here is my theory.... It looks like there is a metal female thread insert molded into the battery cover. I am thinking this female threaded insert has broke away from the battery cover and both the bolt and insert are free spinning. Does this make any sense? And if this is the case, am I SOL??

Not SOL yet. There is a threaded insert molded into the rubber grommet. It just a matter of holding the insert while removing the bolt. A little tricky granted, but with some luck and a pair of needle nose pliers you should be able to get it to move. You may have to remove the rubber itself in order to grab the insert.

He is referring to the battery box not the side covers, I think

I am referring to the side covers and not the battery box. To be clear, are there only two bolts / pins on top of each cover? If I take those two bolts / pins out is that all there is or are they secured on the bottom as well? I noticed two sharp pins on the bottom corner of each cover... Not sure what those are and I'm too chicken to mess with anything until I know for sure! I know this is 101 stuff for most of you guys, but y'all have to understand that before I joined this site I didn't even change my oil! Thanks to everyone for all your help!

I had to order new ones from bdpp mine were in shitty condition when i removed them. Do you have the grommet inserts? If so remove the rubber from the metal well nut inside. I used an exacto knife to cut the rubber material away then a set of needle nose pliers to hold the metal well nut in place. Pretty simple shit.
