Battery Connections

The bolts on the battery post tend to keep coming loose..I started the scooter today, caught it in the compression stroke( no comp releases) , and it turned real slow, smoked a lil, then started .. Positive terminal was loose..Is it OK to use loctite on the bolts? No chemical reaction to the posts???

are the large spades on the connections first with the small spades on last? try putting a star washer on between the last spade and the nut before you go to loctite.
