I just can't seem to get a years worth of juice out of a battery.
This will be third battery in less than a year.
Guess its time to order one of those TR batteries like 55 has.

Any chance of you finding a vendor who will put together a group buy for the TR-1500? I'm in if so.

have heard it takes different kind of charging system for the lithium ion batteries. may just apply to the tender but might want to check before purchasing. i went with the braille (man. date of 5-25-11/ installed withing 2 weeks) and is doing just fine.

Used HD batteries for a few years that lasted from 8 to 12 months.
Last September at the HOG rally in McAlister, OK mine died and I replaced it with an Autozone cause it was all that was open on a Sunday.
A couple months later it died and I replaced it with a Drag Specialties 310cca and it's about dead.
Dreaded symptoms of klunking starts, flashing RPM lites and no speedometer. And most of all a weak ignition!!!!

I'm ordering the TR tomorrow if I can find the link that 55 posted :D

That's too bizarre Ray...what the hell is killing them?

I don't know for sure but think I'm just wearing them out. Last two weren't high quality batteries though. Thats one of the reasons I don't want to spend $300 on a Braile if it's only going to last a year.
Oh well, at least the bike is still running otherwise!!!!!

long time , first time back in a while, and Ray's batterys are petering out!

I have the interstate in mine and it is kinda weak when it is cold but does a great job in warmer weather. I just get mine out maybe once a week though, and not riding like I did last year. But the interstate is so far so ok. Hey Ray you don't have one of those electronic warning buzzer hooked up to your gas tank that might be draining your batterys that reminds you before it runs out of gas do ya? :D

Good to be back ,,,

The other Ray :flag:

I had to resort to g etting a battery that needs the sulfuric acid poured in as those batts sitting on the shelves ready to go are a crapshoot. I hope this one last long time as I have not had any luck either...

No shit!!!  .

I started having issues with my 3 year old Braille, but then I charged it... Bike is running on it as long as the new Braille arrives. I was gonna go with 5-5 Battery but braille has worked just fine for me.

I know we dont think of batteries wearing out like mechanical things, but in fact they sorta do and are only good for X number of cycles. But a battery that only last a year thats not being operated under extreme conditions points to some other gremlin.

Here you go Raywood

Tomioka Racing TR-B1500 Performance Lightweight Battery

I would check your Stator and make sure it is charging your battery. I had a problem with that, mine showed it was charging but never above 12.8 so after a few months it was killing the Battery. Went with the Compu fire 40 Amp and it keeps the battery up to snuff even if I forget to hook up the battery Tender. Just a thought
