Anyone here ever used the Batteries Plus brand battery for their dog? i am on my 2nd one and it seems 1 year is about the life span of these cells. Buddy of mine boaught one for his sport bike and 1 year it started to fade. I heard the long spill from the store salesperson stating that their batteries were made by the same who makes the batteries for Harley. i was able to get 3 years out of the Harley battery and these Batteries Plus cells seem to be junk.

when I bought my bike back in Sept. that is the battery it had in it. It died on me less than 6 mo. old. I took it in to batteries plus to test it and it was completely gone. Almost bought another until the guy brought out a new one to test it and make sure it was good before I paid. it was bad and so was the next one. The third one was good but I was no longer interested. I have no confidence in the batter myself.:flag:

This is an age old subject. There are 3 that seem to stick out as being better than the rest. Harley, Braille and I think the last name is Tomika or something like that. You're pissing in the wind with most all others.

A few on here have had some luck with Big Boar as well.

HD Batteries are made by Deka in PA, at least they were a couple of years ago but may have changed since I last confirmed it.

I'm on my 3rd year with a battery plus. I only want with it cause my company discount made it to ridiculous to pass up. I always keep it on a tender which might make a difference.

Battery plus has two versions I believe, at least last time I was there.

One of which is made by EAST PENN manufacturing, which is the exact same battery as Deka and Harley. That is what you want. It is 435 CCA from memory, Around $110.

I have one and it works well. I do not use a tender.

I recall, in says manufactured by EAST PENN in the fine print. The sales person can also look it up.
