Barnett clutch.. will it work?

ok after searching till my head hurt, will a barnett clutch system work with on '06 ridgeback? if not, then why wont it? is there any mods that can be done so it will work...

also what is the reason why most open drives dont work with our bikes.. is it something with the tranny? are there any parts that allow for more open drive options?

i hear a lot about karata drives and bandit clutches.. what makes them work so well with our bikes and not other big names...?

Bandit Clutch was made specifically for the BigDog 05 and up :2thumbs:

I think the issue with most belt drives other than the Karata and the Baker is the Right Side Drive application which is unique to most fat tire customs and the necessary primary offset required for our bikes.

Bottom line custom bikes require custom applications and the big names are focused on high volume and low costs. Owning a BigDog you are looking at low volume, and high costs due to the 1 off nature. Economics 101.

i understand that.. but after looking at different makes i see that a lot offer right side drive applications, and many offer a wide range of offsets. so i was wondering what is the offest of a 06 bigdog. or if the bolt pattern on our trans just wont match up.. i saw that bandit makes a wide range of offset motorplates..

i would like to know a little more specific info, if you know what i mean.
