Ballistic Lithium battery too F'n big for stock battery case. Need help!

I bought this battery and didn't realize the damn thing wouldn't fit. Been having problems with starting the bike with the 3 year old battery so thought I would go a little more "new" tech.

I disconnected all of the wiring to be able to get the battery case out and was wondering if anyone has been able to expand the size of the battery case and with any success.

Any insight or suggestions would be great. More than likely I won't be taking the battery back because I want to see how these batteries work....but I need to get it in the bike first.

one dimension you can't change, i don't think, would be the height. might want to check it first before you try to change any on the others. if it is too tall, it will probably short out on the seat pan. good luck.

I thought I saw on here somewhere video of those lithium battery's exploding and catching fire if used with a traditional charging system for long.

Lithium Ion Batteries require a different charging system from my understanding.......
