I seem to have a very slow leak on the left side of my transmission. I only notice this after I installed my Karata Belt Drive. I've seen pictures on replacing the seal on the right side of the transmission, but is there a seal on the left side too that can be replaced??? If so does anyone have any pictures of this being done?

hey i just did mine...piece of cake...pull your back pulley...slide out spacer...pull out old seal install new one...i used a dab of 1211 sealer to help hold it in place and greased the inside of seal about an hour and a half job...got seals from baker about 6 bucks i picked up an extra one and mine also developed a slow drip about 2000 mi after outboard install.

05 old dog, if you don't mind my asking--what did you use to pull out the old seal?? I've had to replace mine several times and had a bitch of a time getting the old one out.
Thanks:flag:

I take a small drill bit put grease on it and drill a small hole in the metal part of the seal. Then I take a sheet metal screw and screw it in the hole, and use vise grips, or even a claw hammer and just pull the seal out. The grease on the drill bit keeps metal shavings out of the bearing.
