Baker or Karata Primary Belt Drive?

Hi I am gonna put a primary belt drive on the K-9 this Spring and I have figured out that the only two real options are the Baker and the Karata. Opinons please fellas on which way to go on this? Thanks.

Been discussed here more than a couple of times - I say KARATA....you can't and won't go wrong. Good luck and enjoy the ride.:up::2thumbs::up:

Well, I went with Baker's----Not as many choices, but the way I see it, Bakers tranny-Baker's primary, they should know. But to each his own...I've made a couple of cross country rides, and knock on wood-not one problem..:flag::cheers:

All I can say is they are both great products.

Not sure at this point. I have not checked into this yet. I was just mentioning this because when we signed up with Kustonwerks recently, we gained access to sell BDL products through them.

Thanks for posting the search link - doesn't work on my computer though. I did quite a bit of poking around on the search function and learned a lot about open primaries, but a comparison of the Baker and Karata seemed lacking.

The Baker seems like a very finished product, but the 2.5" belt is a turn off. The Karata is also nice but I think all in with the OBS is a thousand bucks more expensive. I sent a note to Jim but no response yet. Thx again.
