Just a Short slap on the back to the Guys at Baker Transmissions ...
Ordered a main shaft shim ..oil seal and o ring today ."clutch nut still wants to work its way loose " anyway called Baker the "Gentleman" was super nice and helpful ..I guess I missed the thread about a new hardened clutch nut that is available for our bikes :2thumbs: this and 80ft pounds of torque "yea we are back to 80" is the new fix for this age old problem ..we will see . As a side note I asked about oil for the trans ...and he told me "RED LINE HD SHOCK " LOL thats right even though publicly its spectro . Its the pink stuff for me I guess :lol: I'm really glad we still have the baker people to turn to in times like this !!!!!! GREAT BUNCH and they did not gouge me on the price I'm very happy !!!! I will post a picture of the shim latter its a mess but happy that's all that's messed up! :2thumbs::2thumbs::2thumbs:

Totally agree with you regarding Baker. I've called their tech support a few times and ordered parts direct and they are always very helpful and don't gouge you on parts cost (also don't push un-necessary part replacement etc).

Thanks for the positive feedback, I may have to call them about the clutch nut as I'm installing a bandit set-up when I get home next week. I may as well install better parts while I'm in there.

yep yep...I have been running the RedLine Heavy Duty Shock Proof in my tranny for over 3 years now....no problems! :2thumbs:

Nice, glad you made it to one of our seminars! Which one was this?

Seminar season is about to start up again! Typically James (shown above) and I split the season. Bert goes to almost all of them. I will keep you all posted to the schedule. We cover mostly H-D but are always open to discussion during and after the seminar.

Haven't made it to WA yet. But we have gotten quite a bit of interest from that state. I know right now we haven't started mapping out our big seminar tour yet, but I would like to see WA on there. So I will keep that in mind.
