baffles?

I know this has been discussed a million times, but i just didnt find the answer i wanted to here. So lets beat this horse, what baffles would you all recommend to make my vh big radius 2-2 08 fi k-9 louder? also, any probs with doing this on anyone's fuel injected models? and where get i get me some

what most people seem to like is to take the baffle out and cut it to a length of 4.75" and re-install them. i haven't, but that's a different story.

Baffles are for sissy's! I run my V&H 2 into 2 with NO BAFFLES. My neighbors love the sound!

I'm running the Triple X Mini Taz carb (Modified G). I have tried Big City Monsters baffles, did not like the sound. I cut my stock V&H down but have never installed them. I do suffer a bit of low end torque loss but the Dog run's like a bitch!

Its a smaller diameter pc than your pipe. You install it at the cylinder head end of the pipe. helps to create back pressure when you have little or no baffle

I cut my stock baffles to approximately 6 inches, or about in 1/2. Reinstalled and it is a lot louder, with no discernible change as far as spitting or tuning. I'm not sure how 4.75 inches came about, I know that lots of people have cut them to that, but mine are plenty loud!

Seems were all avoiding the FI question. most of us that have changed the eexhaust, baffles or air cleaner have had to change jets in the carb. There are soem folkies on here that have done mods to their FI bikes. Keep hollarin until somebody speaks up.
