So I went out for a ride today bike was running great almost home it back fired and some smoke came out I stop at the red light hear the screw that holds the baffel in cane out and baffel was hanging out partially so my question is would red loctite hold the new screws I put in with the heat from the pipes

I would like to know too. I was under the impression that Loctite loosens up when you heat it up. I was thinking about putting a star washer undermine. On my new headers ,I went for the test run today one of my baffles completely fell out I didn't realize that until I got home. I know when I turn the corner on Sparks and pyramid I heard something metal. I actually found the damn thing , I was pretty happy.

I got the same pipes, mine are out, runs like a scalded dog!. Out on my Harley too, its fuel injected so it adjusted itself and ran better IDK. The guy I bought my K9 from said he took them out and had the carb worked on it and it ran better, again IDK but I will say it is fast as hell. Way faster than my 107 Wide Glide with a stage 2 kit, which prob not saying much. And the WG walks off and leaves my 96 Street Bob which has a lot of work done to it. Again IDK bout details on back pressure

Yes Loctite does break down when heated

If you want to remove the baffles, remove the screw that holds the baffle in, then put an inside to outside arm on a slide hammer and slam it out. Should take 1-2 hits. VH baffles are 12-14’’ depending on which pipes

probably a little more permanent but have you considered a small amount of JB weld extreme heat.

Everyone is different, do what ya like. I still have the baffles in my Big Radius but 99% of my riding is 2 up so real loud is not our style.

My baffles are still on too. When I picked the pipes up from Kevin, that was one thing I made sure of. Loud I like, obnoxiously loud just isn't me.

there is always the option of cutting the BR baffles in half and re-installing the back half. some louder but not obnoxious. and doesn't cost any more.

I Blew out one baffle on a memorial run, it split the screw hole in half, I just replaced both with new, used star washers and all is good, although its a bit quieter than before it still runs well. I ran my old fatboy with the same BR pipes with and without baffles, had tons more low and midrange power and no loss up top with baffles.

Big City Thunder Baffles were relatively harmless, sounds better too.
