Anyone try Bad Ass P Pads out ?
Uses a sticky gel instead of suction cups .
No circles in the paint - no scratches ?

I have surface protection tape covering my rear fender.

I was told the tape yellows in time.You can see it when rear seat is not on .
I think I might try out one of these stick em pads. The price is kinda high I thought for the seat - probably cause its made in the USA.

The tape does not "yellow" but you can see it..have had some on my bike for 5 years and no color change...
I just use a blow up P-pad with rubber bottom

Agree. Mine also has been on 5 years and still clear. You can see a thin line following the edge of the tape

I did some research on the fender protectors and some of the guys in the southern states whose bikes were in the sun a lot were seeing the 3M protectors yellowing after several years, but they said the Clearshield product did not yellow. I found a local window tinter that worked with Clearshield and he charged me $50 to do my entire rear fender. After many attempts he was only able to cover the area of the fender that the suction cups came into contact with. Even got a few scratches from him scoring the Clearshield with a razor and a chip in the paint that mysteriously showed up. The scratches were wet sanded and buffed and came out about 80%. Needless to say it was a nightmare to have my fender protector put on.
