I wish I had more money.
With that being said. Aren't the releases only on for a second. If he were to crank it longer than that it would read correct, correct?

[QUOTEthe compression is right at 108psi in both cylinders. Is that good? QUOTE]

Your compression is reading 108 psi because the compression releases are opening. cranking compression should be over 125 psi. There is a connector under the tanks that will disable the releases. 108 is going to be normal with the releases open.

Is it backfiring through the carb or out the pipes when you start it?

Releases are open the entire time the start button is pressed in.
BD manual says its for 1 second. wired through the ehc.

S&S instructions have it wired through a relay with the start switch. in that case the releases stay on as long as the switch is engaged.

On the compression releases I think its a year model thing, on my o4 107 they stay on as long as i hold the starter button down, other guys here say theirs stay on a second or so, also anytime i do a compression test i always have the carb at WOT to get correct reading ..Dave.

Sorry for the delay guys, busa2r I don't have a BDM part number, as they bought it from the Harley Dealer down the street, but here is the Harley Part #55989, I think. It was the only number I could find on the battery.
