That made almost no sense whatsoever, But from what i gathered from that description sounds like you need to take that bike back to the dealer until it is right.

The gas caps have a one way vent in them that has been known to fail, create a vacum and give you the effect of running out off gas. It can easily be removed with a wrench frpom the cap. As far as turning on the fuel and gas running out thats sounds like a stuck float and/or the needle not seating in the float bowl. Thats not a hard thing to check but with that many miles you may want the dealer to do it. Sometimes if the float is stuck you can tap on the carb and it will loosen up, but you shouldn't have to do this at this early stage.:2thumbs:

i understand a sticking float or trash under the needle and seat but not on a new bike in my opinion this would happer on bikes that sit with gas in them

Can happen... anything can happen. Please understand a few things...

First off on the gas cap, remove the white chk vlv so that all you have left is below.

In your current setup the only filtering you have on the fuel system is the petcock screen as shown below

What you need to do is install a pingle fuel filter

As far as cleaning everything out all you have to do is drop your bowl and work your way thru it. Even thought topic is off slightly the info is just as usefull.
