Backfire!!!

I need some help w my carb... Its the stock carb on a 117 and it is backfiring like crazy!!!! Does anyone have any tips on setting it?? Haven't really messed around with a carb before... Any help would be appreciated Thx

there are several posts explaining step-by-step. do a search and you'll find them. the thing that helped me most in the past was to up my idle a bit. i liked the po-tat-o, po-tat-o (almost ready to die) sound, but upping the idle to 1050-100 sure helps with throttle response.

If you haint changed nuthing first thing I wood do is drop the gas bole and look for water
then if there haint no water I wood spray WD 40 around the intake and investigate for a leak
